Who is bound

This company: Rowan Logbook LLC, registered in Iowa as a limited liability company, working from 801 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309. Sole publisher of these pages
You: The reader, and anybody whose trip you are asking about
The operators: Every firm that carries you, beds you or shows you round, each printed on your proposal. Between them they run the thing, collect the fare, issue the documents, and write the rules any refund gets measured against

Nothing here is for sale

Nothing whatsoever. You will find no basket here, no total accumulating in a corner, no screen asking you to confirm. The figures are here to tell you something; a from figure sits at the floor of a range that really happened. A booking begins the instant an operator confirms one to you on paper, and not one moment earlier.

The questions a shop answers at the till

Payment: Cannot happen on these pages. There is no till and no stored method; the operator invoices you on its own system
Money back: Cannot happen here either, since none arrived. Refunds belong to whoever you paid, and the page on cancellation terms explains how
Returns: Does not arise. Nothing physical passes between us
Delivery and shipping: Equally beside the point. This office posts nothing; whoever is carrying you issues your documents electronically
Recurring charges: None exist in any form. Nothing resembling a membership, a club or a subscription is sold from this office

What you carry

Documents for the border: Whatever your nationality requires on your particular route, verified by you and nobody else
Insurance, if you want it: Purchased somewhere else or done without. No nudge either way comes from here
Reading the six rows honestly: The sixth one especially, since it exists to tell you when to walk away
Spelling: The names have to match your travel document exactly. Fixing one costs money, and against a dated permit it occasionally cannot be fixed
Being there: Check in windows, meeting points, and whatever the paperwork asks you to reconfirm

Where this document stops and somebody else's begins

Somebody else's machines hold these pages. A flight lookup occupies a subdomain of this address and is operated by a different firm entirely. Cross into anybody else's system and their terms and their data notice take over at the boundary; this document stops there. That boundary was written down before the lookup was switched on, precisely so that switching it on could not silently make the paragraphs above untrue, and nothing above needed changing when it was.

Which law

Iowa law governs, with federal law of the United States where it reaches. A right you hold that no agreement may strip away is not stripped away by anything above.

Revisions

When any of this is rewritten, the date at the foot of the page is rewritten with it. Anything already agreed continues to run on the proposal you were sent.

Everything sold here is run by somebody else. Rowan Logbook finds a trip, reads the operator's terms properly, and hands the booking to the airline, hotel, guiding company or ship whose job it is to carry it out. No vehicle, no room, no berth and no guide belongs to this company. Your written proposal names whichever firm is doing the carrying; it applies terms it drafted itself, and it bills you without a dollar crossing this desk.

Four consequences, all of them better stated than left to be inferred. First, no vehicle leaves and no room is let by anybody employed here. Second, no department of any government has vetted, approved or blessed this firm, and no page pretends otherwise. Third, whether to insure a trip is a decision for you and a market that is not this one, as is every question about the documents a border wants. Fourth, these pages cannot take money: there is no mechanism, and no card is retained.
