The list of things that do not happen

You are not counted: No analytics run on these pages. Not a light one, not a self hosted one, none
You are not recognized: Nothing fingerprints a browser and nothing tags you to be known again on another site
You are not followed: No behavioural tracking of any kind, and no identifier that outlives the page
You are not sold on: Not to anybody, at any price, in any form
You are not enrolled: Asking a question is not agreement to be marketed at afterwards, and there is no list here to land on
You are not researched: Nobody buys facts about you to add to what you sent
You are not asked for money: No card field exists on any of the thirty seven pages, and no payment can be made here
You are not asked to log in: There are no accounts on this site
Nothing leaves: The page pulls two script files, and both of them come from here. Not one request goes anywhere else, and your browser's own network panel will show you that without anybody having to be believed

The short list of things that do

You fill in a form. It carries your name, a way of replying, a month, how many of you there are, how much of the day you want decided, and whatever you put in the message box. That reaches this office and nowhere else.

To price it, somebody asks an operator. The operator is told the part that bears on price: dates, numbers, ages where children are coming, and the pace. Not your address, not your budget, and nothing from the message box that does not affect the quote.

How long any of it lasts

Until you decide: The file stays open. Any children's ages live inside it for that window only, since no operator can price a bed or apply its own age rules without them
Twenty four months: Counted from whichever of us wrote last, where the request never turned into a trip
Seven years: Only for a trip that was actually booked, and only because tax records demand it
After that: Deleted, and not quietly copied into an archive first

Cookies

Exactly one cookie can be set here, and only after you agree on the bar.

What it holds: A single flag saying you answered. No serial, no trail, no way to recognize you
For advertising: There are none to describe
For measurement: Also none
Declining: Free of consequence. Every page behaves exactly as before and the bar goes quiet

Companies other than this one

The hosting company keeps the ordinary server logs. They get looked at when a page breaks and are never cross-referenced with anything typed into the form. A flight lookup occupies a subdomain of this address. It belongs to a different firm under a different notice, and nothing from this form travels to it: the two are separate systems that happen to share a name.

Your rights

One line to onfile@rowanlogbook.com is enough to ask what is held, to request a copy, to correct something, or to have the whole file destroyed. It costs nothing and the reply comes inside thirty days. Should the law where you live hand you something stronger than anything set out above, that law prevails here without argument.

Children

This is not written for anybody under sixteen and nothing is knowingly collected from one. A child's age reaches this office only through the adult making the booking, serves the single purpose of pricing a bed, and is destroyed alongside everything else in the file.

Revisions

When this is rewritten, the date at the foot of the page is rewritten with it.

Everything sold here is run by somebody else. Rowan Logbook finds a trip, reads the operator's terms properly, and hands the booking to the airline, hotel, guiding company or ship whose job it is to carry it out. No vehicle, no room, no berth and no guide belongs to this company. Your written proposal names whichever firm is doing the carrying; it applies terms it drafted itself, and it bills you without a dollar crossing this desk.

Four consequences, all of them better stated than left to be inferred. First, no vehicle leaves and no room is let by anybody employed here. Second, no department of any government has vetted, approved or blessed this firm, and no page pretends otherwise. Third, whether to insure a trip is a decision for you and a market that is not this one, as is every question about the documents a border wants. Fourth, these pages cannot take money: there is no mechanism, and no card is retained.
